Sampler Quilt , WIP

I've started a sampler quilt to hone the techniques of quilting . Using the immense quilting block libraries of About.com, quilter's cache, Jenny Beyer and others. I've a long way to go. Making 6 in blocks. so lot's of blocks to be made to make into a quilt.

A quilt made by my grandaunt, Jenibai.

An amazing quilt made by my grandaunt , Jenibai. She presented it to my sister when her son was born. My grandaunt was a quilter , quilting from scraps from old clothes. She was also a crafter , spending her leisure hours in various kind of crafts. A great lady. Never knew I would catch the quilting bug. Wish she was alive that we could exchange notes and learn from her immense experience.
